About Basic Skills

Basic Skills (Ages 6+ years)

The Basic Skills are the fundamentals of the sport. The Basic 1-6, Pre-Freeskate & Freeskate 1&2 levels introduce the fundamental skills that will be used in essentially every advanced skill your child learns in the future. Establishing strong basic skills lays the foundation for lifelong enjoyment of the sport. Basic skills 1-6, Pre-Freeskate & Freeskate 1&2 skaters meet for 30 minutes, twice a week. There will be 30 minutes of practice time before or after the lesson. Arriving promptly at the start ensures full instruction and practice time.

Class Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (skater chooses any two days) 

Class Times:

**Basics Level 1-4: Sunday-Wednesday 5:00 pm-6:00 pm, Practice Ice for 30 minutes immediately following the class

**Basics Level 5-6: Sunday-Wednesday 5:00 pm-6:00 pm

**Pre Free Skate: Sunday-Wednesday 5:00-6:00 pm

**Free Skate 1 & 2: Sunday-Wednesday 5:00-6:00 pm

**These levels will practice for 30 minutes prior to their class at 5:30 pm

Cost: $100 per 11-week session 

Additional skater: $85 per 11-week session 

*All skaters must pay $25 Learn To Skate membership fee in order to register for SCLP group classes
