Paul Wylie
Olympic Silver Medalist, US Figure Skating Hall of Fame, Lake Placid Year- Round Resident, Available by appointment. Works with all levels of skaters in free skating, moves, choreography. Competed internationally in Pairs. Has coached all over the country, taking skaters to Nationals and mentoring Olympians. Taught seminars and clinics to skaters of all ages and abilities. BA and MBA from Harvard University. PSA Master Rated coach.

Jeff LaBrake
Jeff is a Lake Placid Native and grew up training in the Olympic Center. He is a regional, sectional, and national competitor in singles and pairs, and a USFS figure skating gold medalist in both disciplines. When he retired from competition, he went on to an extensive ice show career, skating in a variety of productions worldwide, including Ice Capades. He has a 40-year coaching career coaching skaters of all ages and abilities, in Lake Placid and elsewhere. He also specializes in choreography and skating program administration.
Coaching:
Jeff is available to coach all levels in Singles, Pairs, Moves in the Field, Choreography, and Freestyle.

Marc Fenczak
Marc was a 3-time National Ice Dance competitor and competed at the 1998 Olympic team trials. He has been skating in Lake Placid for more than two decades and is a double gold medalist in ice dancing and free dance. Marc began his Lake Placid coaching career over 20 years ago, coaching in the Lake Placid Summer Skating program annually. In addition to summers in Lake Placid, he has coached at many rinks throughout New York and New Jersey.
Coaching:
Marc is available to teach all levels of Ice Dance, Moves in the Field, Power Skating and Stroking Technique. He is also available for skate sharpening.

Angela Gavin
Angela has been coaching skaters for over 20 years. She is a USFS gold medalist in dance, and has also and has passed international dances. She is a three-time national competitor in synchronized skating. She was the head coach of the Learn to skate program at the St Lawrence Centre Arena for 7 years and coached the Silver Blades synchronized skating team from Norfolk-Norwood FSC for 4 years. She has a degree in applied science and has been an optician for over 20 years. Angela has two children and has been living in Lake Placid since 2007.

Angela is available to coach all disciplines and all ages.

Anne Bennett
Anne is a two-time National silver medalist with her former Theatre in Ice team, was a member of Team USA in the Theatre in Ice Nations Cup, and was the 2019 Overall Junior World Figure Skating Champion. After earning two silver medals in the World Figure event and setting a world record, she still sompetes in the World Figure Sport events and enjoys passing on her knowledge of singles and figures to her students.

Chloe Hurteau
Chloe has been with the Skating Club for over 10 years. She has knowledge and experience in ice dance and synchronized skating as well as singles skating. She has competed individually an with out club's synchronized skating team. Chloe is a mom and hass been a coach for the past four years.
Coaching:
Chloe is available to teach up to Pre-juventile Freestyle and Juvenile Moves in the Field.

Caitlin Quinn
Caitlin has been skating for over 15 years, mostly with the Skating Club of Lake Placid. She has knowledge and experience in ice dance and synchronized skating as well as singles skating. She has competed individually and with our club’s synchronized skating team. Caitlin is currently working on her M.S.T from SUNY Plattsburgh to become a math teacher. Caitlin started coaching with the skating club last year.

Rachel Zurschmit
Rachel is originally from Central Square, NY and was a member of the Skating Club of Central New York for many years. She skated with the CNY Synchronettes and then with the EDUskates while a student at SUNY Potsdam. She began coaching Basic Skills/Learn to Skate in early 2000’s and just recently returned to coaching. She relocated to Lake Placid in 2009 and has been working at North Country Community College since moving to the area.
