POSITION AVAILABLE

SKATING CLUB OF LAKE PLACID

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

 

                The Skating Club of Lake Placid is in search of a Program Director to provide logistical support to its figure skating program.  Primary responsibilities include assisting with the operational aspects of the program, including, but not limited to scheduling ice time and coaching for group lessons, assisting in the coordination of coaches hired to teach within the program, managing the weekly logistics of the program, coordinating volunteers for competitions and shows and attending monthly Board meetings to report to the Board.  The candidate will perform the duties of the Director of Learn to Skate USA and Bridge Programs consistent with US Figure Skating standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    Figure Skating Coaching and Program Director Experience.  Knowledge of US Figure Skating standards and Professional Skaters Association is preferred.  Background checks and Completion of appropriate CER’s is required.   Must be able to work evenings and weekends.

SKATING CLUB OF LAKE PLACID

ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR

 

                The Skating Club of Lake Placid is in search of an Assistant Program Director to provide marketing and clerical support to the Program Director.  Primary responsibilities include assisting the Program Director with outreach,  membership processing, and marketing of programs through social media and traditional methods, as well as other clerical requirements needed in operating a successful figure skating program. The candidate will assist the Program Director with the Learn to Skate USA and Bridge Programs consistent with US Figure Skating standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:    Prior clerical, managerial or figure skating program operation skills preferred.  Strong communication,  social media, marketing and computer skills.  Knowledge of US Figure Skating standards and Professional Skaters Association is preferred.  Background checks and Completion of appropriate CER’s is required (if candidate will be coaching within the program as well).   Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
