Training out of the historic Lake Placid Olympic Center, host of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, we celebrate over 85 years of skating education and opportunity.
The Skating Club of Lake Placid is proud to be a Learn to Skate USA program. The only ice skating program endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey, US Speedskating and the Special Olympics. Learn to Skate USA offers every participant rewarding experience rooted in the lifelong benefits of ice skating.

Sample Session Schedule
Snowplow Sam/Tots
Ages 3 and up.
Sun 4:15 to 5:15pm
Mon., Tues. and Wed. from 5:00 -6:00 pm
Learn to Skate (LTS) All Ages
Basic 1 through Basic 5
Sun. 4:15pm - 5:15pm,
Mon., Tues. and Wed. 5:00 pm -6:00 pm
Aspire Jr./Sr. -
Sun. - Wed. 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm (Sun will focus on Dance) All age groups.
Coffee Club
Adult Skaters Mon. and/or Thurs (chose your day(s).
10:00 am -11:30 am (lessons available 10:00 to 10:30am
Synchronized Skating
LTS and Aspire Skaters
Crystal Edges Synchro
Sun. 5:15– 6:15 pm. Weekly attendance is mandatory.
Adult Intro to Synchro

Head protection/helmets are not required or supplied but are highly recommended.
